Biography

Andrew Kline is a self-taught artist. Born in 1986 in Jacksonville, Florida, Andrew took to art as soon as he was able to hold a crayon. Ever since then his love, appreciation and passion for art has only continued to grow. Andrew's only goal is to inspire others...

Andrew grew up in many small towns and military bases with his single mother and sister. His mother Christine was in the navy for most of his early childhood and they were relocated often. (In the early 90's they even lived in Guantanamo Bay Cuba). Christine was diagnosed with cancer in 1996. Andrew always looked up to her. She was a strong independent mother, fighting a treacherous disease while still being able to raise her children.

Andrew Kline graduated from High School in 2004. He then began going to community college so he could stay close to care for his mother. She tragically passed away February 7th, 2006... It was a very hard time for Andrew and his sister. Dark, sad and lonely times... But they knew they had to make her proud... He needed to follow his dreams for her. He picked himself up and then continued his education at Schenectady County Community College. He graduated in 2008 with an Associates Degree in Humanities and Social Sciences as well as a certificate in General Studies. He is currently making plans to receive his Masters in fine art. Andrew has overcome many challenges in his personal life. But these challenges have only made him stronger. And although Andrew has never yet had formal art training in a college environment, he is known and respected throughout the art community.

Andrew is a truly expressive artist.  Through his work you are able to get a sense if him as a person and the way he sees the world around him. He enjoys all mediums of art and is always looking for new and exciting projects to challenge him and widen his range of ability.
